Celtic Music

Growing up in Vancouver BC, Canada, surrounded by Scottish bagpipes and family singalongs, Amy naturally grew to learn and love Celtic songs and tunes, as well as instruments. Amy plays Celtic harp, piano, accordion & penny whistle. She often performs solo gigs singing while accompanying herself on the harp, however she also plays accordion and penny whistle with other Celtic musicians. She is a busy studio musician and has played on many soundtrack and recording projects.
A co-founder of Canada's internationally acclaimed Celtic funk band, Mad Pudding, she toured with that group for close to ten years across North America and Europe playing Celtic music. Mad Pudding released four CDs of original and traditional music between 1994-2000.
Amy has more recently released four Celtic-influenced recordings: "And Then It Pours" (a mixture of original and traditional music), "A Westcoast Carol" (Christmas songs sung and played on harp, piano and flutes), "Among the Sanctuaries" (spiritual songs from various faith traditions), and "In the Heather" (a CBC-produced benefit CD for downtown eastside disadvantaged residents, made with other Irish traditional musicians from Vancouver).
Below are some sample tracks of Amy playing accordion, penny whistle, playing Celtic harp, and singing.
