MIXED MELODY CHOIR ~ What IS a mixed melody choir?

A Mixed Melody Choir is Amy's brainchild around ensuring that all singers who can sing in tune can be successfully included in a mixed choir (SATB, SAB etc), even if they find harmonies challenging. This means that singers from diverse musical backgrounds can come together in an enjoyable and enriching experience. 

Amy has begun arranging choral scores to include a part for singers who are strong 'melody singers' but find staying with a harmony part quite challenging. With these arrangements, experienced choristers who love to sing harmonies are still satisfied with their choral experience. The melody part may go throughout, or may drop in/out in various parts of the arrangement to suit the piece. To put it simply, there is an extra vocal part; besides S, A, T & B, there is also M (for melody).
